This blog was written as arctic air blanketed much of the United States in January, with snow in Houston and Baton Rouge and subzero temperatures across the Midwest and East Coast. When you find yourself shivering from your office, warehouse, jobsite or work vehicle, it’s a good time to fantasize about warmer places and upcoming trips.
A double bonus is incorporating these trips with work. We do not attend many tradeshows throughout the year, but we hit two that help us connect with contractors, architects and industry leaders. Check out Build25, a convention and expo brought to you by the Association of the Wall and Ceiling Industry (AWCI). We will be at booth 811 from March 31–April 3 at the Westin Charlotte/Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, N.C. Also head to AIA25, the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Conference on Architecture & Design in Boston from June 4–7.
Build25 showcases products, services and solutions from all markets, including drywall, ceilings and acoustics, lath and metal framing, plaster, EIFS, insulation, software and more. The convention and expo bring people together from across the industry for a variety of education sessions and networking receptions. The keynote speaker, Evy Poumpouras, is multi-media journalist who regularly appears on the Today Show, NBC, MSNBC and Good Morning America, covering topics on national security, law enforcement and crime.
There are not many events like AIA25 in terms of bringing together the decision-makers who are changing the built environment. Last year’s event was one of the biggest, with 600 exhibiting companies, 30 sponsors and about 15,000 attendees. This year should be just as exciting on the trade show floor and in educational sessions.
At the events, we will be showcasing our Snap Lock bridging bar. This is a newer product, and we now have case studies to share about successful installs. We are happy to talk about all our products at these shows, as well as to review your installs and plans while answering your curve-related questions. We will see you on the road!
